What do Hurricanes and Wild Fires Have in Common?
Hurricanes and Wild Fires; what do they have in common? Sure they are both natural disasters although about half of the wildfires are started deliberately by arsonists or accidentally by carelessness. Just drive down any freeway in a hot region and see the dried brush that has been burnt from obviously flicking of cigarette butts out the window?

Wildfire Season will hit Record in Summer of 2006
Although the 2006 Atlantic Tropical Hurricane Season has been a little less than anticipated it looks as it the Wild Fire Season in the Western United States is more than expected and in fact may set an all-time record for the most acreage burned. Category III Hurricane Gordon; 2006 Atlantic Tropical Hurricane Season Soars
Apparently Hurricane Gordon is getting a little persnickety out in the Middle of the Atlantic and has grown from a Tropical Depression into a Tropical Storm and continues to grow. It made Category Hurricane one status and then past into Hurricane Category II and Category III in less than 36 hours out in open sea. That is the bad news and the good news is that it will not be affecting land it appears.

Typhoon Gonu - Category V to Slam Iran
The Iranian shoreline is about to get pounded by the worst Typhoon ever to hit the Arabian Shoreline in all of recorded history. Typhoon Gonu is on its way and will soon send storm surges up to 20 feet high. This is the most beautifully and perfectly formed Tropical Hurricane ever to hit the Gulf of Oman. This is a huge storm and over 350 miles wide in circulation, so large in fact it might completely flood the area and wash the debris out to sea.
