The Decline of Literacy in Modern Society
I have long noticed the decline in legible handwriting (and it did not just begin with the internet, and the decline in general literacy of American youth. As a former teacher, I noticed a correlation between these skills (or lack of them) in the work of my students. I see misspellings and typographical errors on television news reports, on billboards, in magazines - everywhere. Every time I see an advertisement for a product or service with errors, I assume that the carelessness in executing something so simple will also translate to carelessness in manufacturing or customer service or maintenance, and they don't get my business. Applications bearing illegible scribble posing as handwriting are to be deposited directly into File 13.

Ordinary People Doing Extraordinary Things
Like everyone, leaders are people living human lives, and part of that reality is learning through experience and working out our individual karmas. They will make missteps and there will be things they would do differently given a second chance. If we are to be fair, we need to grant our leaders the same forgiveness, compassion, and understanding that we grant our closest friends as they navigate the complex challenges of their human life.

Anhydrous Ammonia Spill Day
On June 8th 2007 there were three significant releases of Anhydrous Ammonia from cooling systems at food storage or food processing facilities across the country. The Benefits of Using Conference Calling for the Psychotherapist
If you need to use group therapy with your patients, consider
using conference calling. Of course, many individuals will
prefer that they can listen into a conversation and not have to
have others see who they actually are. This can help people to
open up, to divulge what they need to and to begin to heal with
your direction. Because everyone has the ability to communicate
with everyone else, they may just feel more comfortable doing so
without having to face the person directly.
